Tennis
While Tampa has a lot of free public tennis courts, a lot of them aren’t maintained very well or get pretty crowded around evening time; therefore I don’t mind paying few $$ to have a guaranteed, well-cared-for tennis court at a convenient time. Court fees usually vary from $2.50/hour to $7.50/hour depending on the location and type of court. These are my two favorite places to play in Tampa:

Hard courts are usually easy to get (in the evenings), I never needed a reservation for those. Soft courts seem to be more popular and if you want one held for you - better call ahead and make a reservation.
